I was looking for incense today and the store I wanted to go into was closed. I felt in my gut that this was where I should walk into, and I'm so glad I did. The owner was present today, but last week on my birthday I stopped in during the flower festival. She was so kind and knowledgeable, and helped me pick out some incense. I will definitely be back here, as I love supporting small businesses. Thanks again!!

Fun shop. Went in and it looked like it was scented items but it's an interesting mix of items. It's like Etsy but you can pick up and touch everything. We bought Christmas gifts for multiple people here. I've seen a lot of stores that feel like they're overpricedTemu resellers. This did not have that vibe. It felt like they took the time to find quality items.

Springfield Mercantile on Commercial Street deserves every bit of praise I can give. I’m a guy who appreciates quality and a good story behind what I buy, and this place checks all the boxes. The moment you walk in, you can tell this isn’t your average shop. The shelves are filled with things you just don’t see anywhere else—handcrafted goods, vintage finds, and home essentials that actually feel like they’ll last. What really stands out to me is the focus on sustainability and supporting local artisans. You can tell the owner cares about what goes on the shelves—there’s a real sense of pride in the products, and it’s obvious everything is chosen with intention. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely friendly without being pushy. They know their stuff and are happy to talk about where things come from or how they’re made. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable taking your time, and you might even end up chatting with someone about the history of Commercial Street or the local community. If you’re tired of big box stores and want to support a business that actually cares about its customers and the environment, you owe it to yourself to stop by Springfield Mercantile.

Vintage housewares, clothing and country chic deco is abundant in this super cute 3 story boutique. They also have great coffee and some of the best grilled cheese and tomato soup I’ve had in awhile. Definitely worth checking out!

Springfield Mercantile is hands down the cutest shop in Springfield! The owner is the kindest and sweetest person who is passionate about providing quality, eco-friendly products to our community. She even designs and sews many of their products, in house; and often from upcycled materials. How cool is that? I have also found several unique gifts here that I haven't seen anywhere else. It's always a joy take a spin around the store and see what's new. :)

I've been following Katie on Instagram for almost 12 years now, & when I saw that she was opening a store right on Commercial Street, I was SO excited. I travel back and forth between Oklahoma City, OK & Springfield, MO, so I knew I had to pop by this time around during this Thanksgiving trip. I live above Serendipity, so it was such a quick lil walk across the street to a super darling shop. I brought my 2 year old & 18 year old, and we had the best time. It's local, full of handmade, & a lot of my fav brands like Stay Home Club & Wes Anderson. Katie is just a peach, & I'm so glad to have finally met her in person & not just saying hello through instagram comments from time to time! Elise was SO precious as well! She even pointed out my handmade 'Penelope' scarf, & I just about died! Nobody has EVER recognized it before, so I felt like we were best friends in a past life hahaha! I picked up a handmade ruffle tote bag, some Wes Anderson buttons, & a beautiful little MCM inspired mug by Danica Studio. Everything is reasonably priced, & the experience/ambience of the shop is definitely part of it! The shop screams "Hygge" in every way possible.
